A Thin Line

The aphorism that 'A Thin Line' presence layers of meanings and a plethora of scenarios. It reminds us of the almost subtle extensions between things, situations and / or experiences.

metaphorically tin lines reminders of the multiples scenarios of human existence and like the literary giant, Chimamanda Adichie rightly puts it - "the dangers of single stories". As is the character of metaphors, they are a distinct way of unknown phenomenon to one known entities.

in this exhibition, five artists whose studio experiments show visible similarities in medium, and style draw our attention to the layered meanings in their very similar experiences demarcated by location. The intentional engagements which the metaphors of cloth, psychology of color, dexterity of line and presence of texture of a glut to the evidence that thin lines present.

Through this exhibition, we expect that the several conversations raised by the pieces present in this exhibition open up conversations that provoke the mind and allow for the abundance of the outlooks that 'a thin line' offers while adding to the teeming conversations that describe the multiple perceptions that is life and living.
