The Treasures Within

Treasures are everywhere, but only intentional eyes can see them. Aguru Woko’s body of work invites us to experience beauty, in what is otherwise regarded as waste. His explorations with wine corks, plastics, polycerene, aluminium, mop sticks and other materials associated with dirt argue for eco-visiualities,environmental sustainability and friendliness.

Through this exhibition, Woko engages contemporary conversations about the environment and how it affects man and nature. In the same vein, he reveals treasures hiding in plane site. Beyond its affinity to green air, Delaroke art gallery is elated to be showcasing this body of work because it brings to the fore the movement of waste from a perspectives of depleted utilities to a desirable entities.
