Goodness Nnabeze

Painter

Goodness Nnabeze was born on the 28th of February, 2002 in Anambra state, Nigeria.
She is a Nigerian artist who creates images through the formation of strokes and
colours on a surface. She creates using pens, markers, oil and water based colours. Her
fascination to how every impression made on a surface originates from the basic
element of Line, drove her artistic curiosity to express this element of line boldly in her
works. She believes in the impression of life in art and she creates this impression
through the proximity and play of her organic, gyrating lines on paper and canvas. Her
works portray a major idea of connectivity in nature, how everything in existence
connects one way or the other. She communicates this through her interplay of circular
lines. Her love for paintings and drawings inspired the combination of both in her works.
Goodness Nnabeze is a graduate in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where
she studied Fine and Applied Arts (painting major). She has won
an award as a child in the Igbo ukwu children’s art competition during her primary
school years. She is a member of an artists' group; 10 for 10 art society, and has
participated in art exhibitions such as; Dreams Alive, 2019, themed ‘'In times like
this", The 10 for10 group art exhibitions, 2021 themed 'Shadows of solitude', Calabar
